Home-Start Herts Sponsored Walk

Home-Start are so pleased to be part of the Helping Herts campaign and we are keen to celebrate the spectacular county of Hertfordshire by joining in with an epic sponsored walk, on the beautiful Hertfordshire Way.

Home-Start Herts believe every parent should have the support they need to give their child/ren the best possible start in life. Home-Start Hertfordshire provides a non-judgmental, early intervention support on a 1:1 basis to families who are vulnerable and are struggling. Trained Volunteer Family Mentors visit families in their own homes to offer emotional and practical support so that families can deal with the challenges they face, before it reaches crisis point - and offer their children the best start in life.

Home-Start Herts also delivers 8 family groups throughout Hertfordshire, offering weekly support to parents who are often isolated and lonely and whose children perhaps have few opportunities for interaction with other children. They offer parents an informal and non-judgemental environment to meet other parents and get advice and support. The groups also provide a safe and secure environment for children to play, learn and develop.
