My story

Grove Cottage is more than just a building on London road in Bishop's Stortford. To our staff, volunteers and members we are a close knit community that provides a safe and fun place for people of all ages with a learning disability to avoid social isolation and develop their potential.

We need almost £500,000 each year to keep supporting our members and providing crucial respite for their families. Without the help of the local community, this would not be possible and we are so grateful to all those who support us.

On Saturday 24th September we will be one of 12 charities taking part in the Great Big Walk for Herts. Each charity will talk a leg of the 180 mile circuit of the Hertfordshire Way on the day to raise funds for their cause and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of this amazing initiative whilst fundraising to ensure we are able to continue running our services.

We've been busy building our team of supporters, staff, members and trustees. We now have a team of 10 plus the guide from the 'Friends of the Hertfordshire Way' taking part in the walk.
