The hyh Great Big Walk for Herts
Herts Young Homeless are taking part in the Helping Herts walk on September 24th. 12 charities will each take a section of the Hertfordshire Way, so the full circuit will be walked on the day. Please join hyh as we walk from Markyate to St Albans
My story
Herts Young Homeless helps young people across Hertfordshire to secure and maintain a safe place to live by providing information, support and help in a crisis. Having a roof over your head is the essential foundation from which young people can plan for the future but, right now, thousands are without somewhere safe or secure to rely on. Some are street homeless, but the majority are ‘hidden homeless’. They might be sofa-surfing, in temporary accommodation or sleeping in unsafe places like a car or a squat.
Join us on the walk on September 24th and help to raise money so we can support these young people into a secure situation and ensure they do not return to the worry of an uncertain future.
The walk is roughly 11 miles long and will be led by a Hertfordshire Way expert, ensuring we don't get lost and highlighting the areas of interest along the way.
We start in Markyate at 10am and will finish at Westminster Lodge in St Albans with a celebration event.
This is the main team page for hyh and your individual fundraising will be included in the overall total. So why not join us for a Great Big Walk on September 24th and raise money for hyh!
